Anora OTT Release: Where To Watch The Oscar-Winning Film

Sean Baker’s Oscar-Winning Film, Anora, is set to release on Jio Hotstar on March 17. However, there are multiple OTT platforms where you can pay a rent and watch it immediately. These include Zee 5, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime Video.

This year’s Oscar Winning Film, Anora, will release on OTT platform Jio Hotstar on 17 March 2024. Before the Oscars the film was in spotlight for winning the prestigious Palme d’Or at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.

The captivating Rom-Com features Mikey Madison and Mark Eydelshten as the lead pair in the film. Although compared to films like Pretty Woman and Cindrella, its narrative is pretty fresh: an American stripper falls in love with a rich Russian boy. The duo get married for a happily ever after. But that’s where the story gets real and refreshingly different.

Anora won 5 awards at the 97th Academy awards. Out of which, Sean Baker received 4 Awards for Best Director, Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing. Mikey Madison received the Award for Best Actress.

The trailer of the film has garnered 4.4 Million views within 4 months of its release. You can checkout its trailer below.

In the entire history of Cinema only four films have received the Best Picture Awards at both the Cannes and Oscars. These are: The Lost Weekend(1945), Marty(1955), Parasite(2019), and Anora(2024). Also, with this film Sean Bake matched Walt Disney’s record for maximum number of Academy Award won in a single night. They both hold a record of 4 Academy Awards in a single night.

On Monday, Jio Hotstar  announced the OTT release of Anora on its Instagram and Twitter handles.

The film did not have a commercial release in Indian theatres last year. However, popular film festivals such as Mumbai Film Festival, Kerala International Film Festival etc. did screen it. If you love watching films in cinema-halls and live in Mumbai or Hyderabad you are in luck as the upcoming Red Lorry Film Festival in these cities will screen it.
